Assist the Administrative Assistant with general office management. Duties include photocopying (materials for class and research), scanning materials to be emailed to professors, delivering and picking up mail and/or other items on-campus including general errands, word processing and excel spreadsheet documents, assisting with publicizing department events, updating departmental website and Facebook pages as instructed, planning and maintaining bulletin boards and English department work room, answering the phone when the admin is out of the office.Assist the professors with the following: Scanning and uploading materials, research projects, ordering materials from ILL and obtaining books from the library for faculty as instructed, preparing material mechanically, e.g. punching holes, sorting papers, gluing materials, sorting & scanning etc., working on other projects as deemed necessary by the professors.
