Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Sewer to join our manufacturing team. The Industrial Sewer position involves operating industrial sewing machines to gather, hem, and reinforce materials. You will be responsible for constructing high-quality products from heavy-duty materials while maintaining strict safety and production standards.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am - 3pm. Weekends as needed.
Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00

Responsibilities
Take direct guidance from the Production Supervisor to construct products that consistently meet rigorous quality and productivity standards
Operate industrial sewing equipment to efficiently assemble and sew multiple distinct product styles according to specification
Prepare, troubleshoot, and maintain sewing machines independently, which includes changing needles and thread, routine oiling, replacing bobbins, and securing necessary machine attachments
Guide heavy-weight materials precisely under the machining needle to ensure strong, straight, and highly durable seams
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by performing general housekeeping duties throughout the manufacturing and production areas
Assist in other areas of the business when needed
Qualifications
At least 1 year of proven, hands-on experience operating machinery in an industrial sewing or heavy-textile manufacturing setting
Capable of sustaining continuous sewing operations for 7-8 hours a day
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret blueprint language, accurately following manufacturing blueprints, patterns, and product specifications
Previous experience sewing and handling heavy-duty materials, with specific proficiency in vinyl and canvas being a significant advantage
A strong team player mentality with a cooperative attitude and a willingness to support fellow production staff
High adaptability and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced manufacturing environment to safely meet strict production deadlines
Must be able to stand or sit for long periods and be capable of lifting up to 80 pounds
