Position: Warehouse Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials and products within our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments and verify accuracy of contents against purchase orders
• Label and store received products in designated locations within the warehouse
• Prepare and pack orders for shipment to customers
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular inventory counts
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized at all times
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding order status and delivery schedules
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks and containers
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment preferred
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work full-time, including some weekends and overtime as needed
