This role will define the strategic direction for a portfolio of Procurement DI&A initiatives, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Procurement priorities, business value realization, and long-term capability maturity. The ideal candidate will operate at both the strategic and execution levels to identify opportunities, influence investment decisions, and build scalable digital, data, and AI-enabled capabilities that strengthen the Enterprise Procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic direction and evolution of Procurement DI&A products and platform capabilities, translating Enterprise Procurement priorities into a cohesive roadmap aligned to long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Enterprise Procurement to define strategic outcomes, prioritize investments, and drive measurable business value.
  • Establish and mature product operating models, governance, and portfolio management practices that enable scalable and sustainable delivery across Procurement DI&A initiatives.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across business, data, and technology teams to ensure requirements, architecture, roadmaps, and delivery plans support broader transformation goals.
  • Oversee product roadmaps, backlog priorities, and release planning to balance strategic initiatives, operational needs, and technical modernization.
  • Champion the adoption of advanced analytics, intelligent automation, and AI capabilities, while evaluating emerging technologies and trends to unlock innovation and enterprise value.
  • Own value articulation and business case development for strategic investments, including funding requests, cost optimization opportunities, and total cost of ownership considerations.
  • Lead executive stakeholder reviews, QBRs, and governance discussions to provide visibility into product performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build organizational understanding and adoption of Procurement DI&A capabilities through change leadership, communications, and enablement.
  • Ensure portfolio, compliance, and operational information is maintained across required enterprise systems, and serve as the JJT lead for in-scope SOX applications.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field is required.
  • An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience & Skills

  • AI Knowledge and Experience
  • Proven experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance product capabilities, improve user experience, and drive business outcomes.
  • Understanding AI concepts and frameworks, including agentic AI, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into product strategies.
  • Experience integrating AI-driven features into digital products or platforms, ensuring alignment with customer needs and organizational goals.
  • Ability to collaborate with data science and engineering teams to define AI requirements, evaluate feasibility, and prioritize AI-enabled functionality.
  • Awareness of ethical considerations and responsible AI practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
  • Hands-on experience generating prompts — creating, refining, and measuring prompts to boost workflow efficiency and performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and adopt new AI tools and platforms to meet evolving project needs.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of IT, digital product, data, or analytics-related experience, including leadership across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading digital product strategy and roadmap development, preferably in data, analytics, automation, or AI-enabled environments, with the ability to connect product decisions to business outcomes and enterprise priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Procurement processes, operating models, and enabling technologies, with experience identifying opportunities to strengthen Enterprise Procurement capabilities through data and digital solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, align diverse teams, and drive strategic decisions across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).
  • Experience with several of the following technologies is strongly recommended: Teradata, PostgreSQL, MS Azure, Databricks, OpenAI’s GPT, Neo4j, Alation, Python, PySpark, and AI-powered BI/data visualization tools (Cognos, Tableau, Power BI). Experience with integration technologies (e.g., Informatica) is a nice-to-have.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple priorities across a complex portfolio while balancing strategic transformation, operational excellence, and delivery outcomes.
