Property Manager
Overview -
We are seeking an organised, proactive and personable Property Manager to join our client’s team. This is initially a temporary opportunity, however, the company is looking to recruit permanently, so there is potential for this to become a temp-to-perm position for the right person.
This is a varied and hands-on role, involving regular visits to properties and HMOs, dealing with tenants, arranging repairs, liaising with contractors and ensuring compliance paperwork is kept up to date. The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills, be confident dealing with issues and have a practical, problem-solving approach.
Benefits -
- £15.00 per hour
- Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
- Full-time preferred
- Part-time hours may be considered for the right person
- Initially temporary with potential for a permanent position
Responsibilities -
- Visit residential properties and HMOs to carry out inspections and checks.
- Act as a key point of contact for tenants, dealing with queries and resolving issues.
- Identify and manage maintenance and repair requirements.
- Liaise with contractors to arrange and oversee repairs and works.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants and contractors.
- Respond quickly and effectively to any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate property records and compliance paperwork.
- Ensure relevant documentation and checks are kept up to date.
- Coordinate paperwork relating to properties, tenants, repairs and contractors.
- Keep on top of multiple properties and tasks at the same time.
Qualifications
- Previous property experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent communication and people skills are essential.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- A confident and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good attention to detail.
- Experience in a customer-facing, housing, facilities or similar role would also be considered.
- Confident dealing with tenants, contractors and other stakeholders.
