EDUCATION • Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable • University degree or equivalent in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. • CERTIFICATONS • Certification in Workday or similar FUNCTIONAL SKILLS • Solid Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) experience from within a complex, highly regulated, global environment • Proven expertise in one or more of the following platforms and relevant modules {Workday, Cornerstone SBX, Anaplan, Payroll, HCM, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Security, Reporting, etc.) • Strong functional and technical skills in HR data management and HR processes • Proven project management capabilities • HRIS experience in financial services or commercial banking highly desirable • Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with IT colleagues and non-technical customers to understand user needs to develop and configure technical processes and solution • Strong leadership, management and team building skills to effectively lead cross functional project teams • Thorough understanding of and experience with the system development life cycle (SDLC) • Proficiency integrating HR solutions with related organizational processes, systems, and other business or management initiatives • Subject matter expert (SME) level knowledge of HR business processes; ability to document processes and generate clear and understandable business requirements for non-technical audiences and stakeholder sign off • Ability to identify and articulate options to stakeholders and influence decisions based on facts and analysis • Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills, and experience with MS Project, Visio or similar • Experience using Agile delivery practices and methodologies preferred • Experience with data quality and governance • Experience working with large-scale, complex data sets with an emphasis on reporting and analytics • Human Resources (HR) domain expertise • Proven ability to define clear goals and outcomes for HR solutions, and uses them to drive solution design • Demonstrated past success of follow-up to and ongoing support for implementation of HR solutions to ensure their continued effectiveness • Knowledge of industry trends and leading-edge practices from external HRIS networks and community; collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate application of such changes and document processes, procedures, and testing results accordingly • Coordinate with Information Technology (IT) and the user community to identify areas of improvement, recommend changes, and implement functional solutions for existing systems • Collect and analyze data in order to improve HR strategies and processes, and suggests ways to increase the functional productivity and workflow of the HR department • Lead the automation, integration, and configuration of core HR processes (TA, LMA, Compensation, Workforce Analytics, etc.) • Determine how HRIS can be optimized to provide an amazing employee experience that supports a company/organization to become a high impact HR organization • Coach and guide staff in the evaluation, communication, and coordination of the technical impacts of configuration decisions • Ensure accountability for the implementation of project plans and initiatives • Translate HRIS roadmap ’s vision, strategic direction and long-term goals into specific projects and initiatives with clear timelines and goals • Recommend and implement HRIS support and delivery process improvements, incorporating agile principles and practices to optimize productivity and promote quality assurance • Lead end user system education and adoption initiatives • Manage system and/or product roadmaps ensuring alignment with overall systems and HR strategies • Manage small to large projects using project, risk, and resource management principles, tools, and practices • Conduct and/or manage compliance assessments and gap analysis on systems and products • Serve as escalation point for HR system production issues • Develop and maintain queries and reports (standard and/or ad hoc) utilizing standard and advanced reporting platforms to support business processes and HR data analytics • Manage requests for process improvements, system enhancements, and the development and/or purchase of new software applications • Mentor and coach the team to develop expertise and drive process and configuration excellence • Synthesize and document requirements for process improvement, enhancements, new software, and strategic initiatives • Act as HR Lead for in-progress HRIS system implementation, including continued testing and configuration, security administration, report writing, system optimization post go-live, and coordination and management of cross-functional dependencies between HR, Benefits, IT, Budget and Payroll • Ensure that HR applications integrate into existing and planned infrastructure • Support all HRIS systems (needs analysis, research, design, testing, quality control, deployment, training, and administration) and human resources end users in the use of HRIS applications and desktop tools (recruitment, talent performance evaluation, learning and document management systems and software) • Effectively work with the team to prioritize work and establish a strong partnership with IT to ensure clear governance in how value is delivered to the end users with the goal of providing an amazing employee experience and exceptional business satisfaction • Work with COEs to translate business needs into projects, including prioritization, scheduling, and resource planning • Consider the quality of business processes as well as data quality and integrity by ensuring a regular audit cadence in coordination with other teams (e.g., people analytics) • Actively identify and resolve issues or opportunities for enhanced user experience and other HRIS integrations • Develop, document, and maintain all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance • Partner with cross-functional team members and IT team members on HRIS-related issues and enhancements • Collaborate with the HR operations team to provide support for HR technology matters • Manage staffing and maintain best-in-class HRIS resources • Translate functional requirements into work breakdown structures and technical specifications via information gathering, workshops, sessions and interviews • Maintain and administer ad hoc report writing tools for end users; train and assist users of those ad hoc report writing tools • Ensure data privacy is maintained • Resolve user how-to challenges and develop training documentation as needed to minimize user error and provide periodic training for end users on system processes and procedures • Identify, document, communicate and address HRIS issues as they arise and serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on HRIS functionality, capabilities and limitations • Ensure data integrity, proper integration with other organization systems, and optimal uptime/performance • Provide management with subject matter expertise for HRIS operational decisions • Serve as a subject matter expert corresponding with regional counterparts in support of a global platform following a defined global governance and shared services operating model • May act as solution architect for an assigned HR platform • As part of a team composed of global and local HRIS managers, IT and HR function stakeholders help guide, lead and design system and business process enhancement • May manage and scale a team to help define and drive the overall HRIS roadmap • Manage initiatives to improve the effectiveness of global HR processes, and design and deliver process improvements • Partner with global stakeholders to improve operating efficiencies and effectiveness • Work with internal teams to automate and streamline HR processes • Adhere to Change Control processesMitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is an equal opportunity employer.
