Your role and responsibilities 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop an effective sales strategy for the IEC61439 Tested,  Licensed Panels within the specified south India and maintain it, to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Each day, you will define, plan, lead, and ensure the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Power – Licensed Panels (ArTu)  Business to be based at BANGALORE, India. 


You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Drive sales targets and business growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding the panel builder/partner network, negotiating key contracts, and improving customer satisfaction.

  • Manage sales processes, pricing, and risks by reviewing commercial strategies and ensuring effective management of financial, contractual, cybersecurity, and compliance risks.

  • Support sales operations and project execution by managing administrative processes, supporting cash collection, and coordinating project-related activities as required.

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, collaboration across functions, and organizational effectiveness; conduct product presentations, promotions, and training for panel builders as per ABB guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance, integrity, and safety by consistently upholding ABB values, Code of Conduct, HSE standards, and applicable internal and external policies across business operations


Qualifications for the role

  • 10+ years of experience in sales of LT Switchgear products, systems, and solutions, with extensive exposure to LT switchboards.

  • B.E./B. Tech in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (full-time, regular) with a consistent career track. Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of relevant experience may also be considered.

  • Strong understanding of LT panels, Low Voltage equipment, and electrical distribution solutions.

  • In-depth knowledge of panel builders, industrial segments, customer requirements, and market dynamics.

  • Proven experience in customer acquisition, account management, direct sales, and cross-selling across the South India region.

  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide technically and commercially suitable solutions aligned with business requirements.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and customer relationship management skills, with a result-oriented approach.
