Responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of goods and supplies, both stock and non-stock items, at UMMHC facilities. Serves in lead capacity in absence of supervisor.Major Responsibilities:
- Receives all stock items into inventory.
- Receives all non-stock items into the medical center.
- Matches receipt document and goods received to purchase order information in compute or hard copy.
- Inspects goods received for damages.
- Verifies correct quantities.
- Documents and reports all receipts and discrepancies in product and quantity. Enters information into computer.
- Labels each box with internal inventory control numbers.
- Creates and attaches bar code labels to all patient charge items.
- Transports stock items received to different storeroom locations.
- Transports non-stock items to appropriate delivery route staging area. Builds delivery carts and logs.
- Maintain daily vendor fill rate performance statistics.
- Prepares and monitors all returns to vendors.

- 3 years of relevant job experience.
Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
Responsible for assuring availability of basic and specialty equipment and supplies needed for department of Pathology, Laboratory at all Medical Center locations- Biotech One - University, Memorial, and ordering as needed of supplies at offsite Medical Center campus locations: Hahnemann, and./or Shrewsbury White City. Ensures equipment and supplies are available for all lab processes, tracks shipments, checks dock at Biotech One Lab, communicates and escalates delays or supply concerns. Places orders for supply needed to maintain established par levels from Dept Managers. Leads and participates in periodic and annual inventory count. Work is considered heavy.
