Welder Level 1, East Providence, RI  

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Welder will perform precision welding operations on capacitor components. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and the ability to work with specialized welding processes.  

Expected Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 


Responsibilities:  

  • Perform specialized welding operations including: 
  • Square Rim Welding 
  • Round Rim Welding 
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions. 
  • Operate welding equipment with precision to meet exact tolerances and specifications. 
  • Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and compliance with industry and company standards. 
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including welding logs and inspection reports. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment. 
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering teams to resolve production issues. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, safety, and product reliability. 
  • Use basic computer skills to navigate and input data into production systems to track progress,      document results, and communicate effectively with the team. 
  • Additional duties as  assigned 

Requirements

Criteria For Success 

  • High school diploma, trade school      or equivalent required  
  • Must be considered a U.S. person eligible to work in the United States 
  • Ability to read and write in      English. 
  • General manufacturing experience preferred   
  • Experience with ERP systems a      plus 
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset and personality with a hands-on, can-do attitude. 
  • General knowledge of manufacturing procedures required.  
  • General time management, communication, decision-making, and organization skills. 
  • Ability to keep workspace clean and adhere to all safety rules and company policies. 
  • Ability to use PCs and various software applications. Proficient in using welding equipment and tools. 
  • Capability to work in a      fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and quotas  
  • Possess a collaborative, team-oriented mindset and personality with a hands-on, can-do attitude. 
  • Must demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance. 

Work Environment and Physical Demands: 

  • General office and manufacturing environment.   
  • Exposure to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools. 
  • This position requires working near electrical and mechanical equipment that could potentially interfere with pacemaker function.  
  • Ability to read and write      in English    
  • May require heavy lifting.   
  • Requires manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small objects. 
  • Repetitive hand movements for tasks like assembly or packaging. 
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull      up to 30 pounds 
  • Prolonged standing on hard      surfaces during shift 
  • Walking to various stations or areas of the production floor. 
  • Sitting, bending,      stooping, pushing and pulling motions 
  • Ability to handle small tools,      parts, and machinery with precision. 
  • Visual acuity to read measurements, assembly instructions, and monitor equipment. 
  • Familiarity with using a microscope and other quality tools 
  • Hearing ability to detect      alarms, machinery sounds, or verbal instructions in a noisy      environment 
  • Will be required to wear appropriate PPE as outlined by company safety protocols.
