Job Description
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Saint Paul Park, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and respond to alarm-related activity. Your visible presence will help deter incidents while you provide professional customer service and clear communication. - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical facility.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, releases, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, process areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing individuals according to site-specific requirements.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols, incidents, access activity, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
