A. Supplier Development
- Is physically present at supplier locations to assess the effectiveness of manufacturing processes (lead times and First Time Right performance).
- Based on these assessments, is responsible for implementing process improvements and ensuring they are embedded within the supplier's quality management system.
- Conducts periodic supplier quality audits in accordance with applicable standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Manages, registers, and evaluates supplier quality documentation and reports (including NCMs, 8D reports, FMEAs, and Control Plans) and ensures that corrective actions are completed accurately and on time.
B. Other Responsibilities
- Performs general departmental and administrative tasks as required.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe workplace.
- Ensures that Quality, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety requirements are adequately implemented and maintained at supplier locations.
- Visits and evaluates (new) suppliers and shares responsibility for supplier selection and approval.
- Acts as deputy for the Procurement Manager with regard to supplier quality matters during their absence.
Knowledge and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree (HBO level) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience in supplier quality management and quality assurance.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Able to work independently.
- Knowledge of AQL II and MIL-STD-128 sampling techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certified Supplier Auditor in accordance with IATF 16949.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and VDA 6.3.
- Knowledge of automotive core quality tools, including FMEA, PPAP, and 8D.
- Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and DRM.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) is considered an advantage.
