Position Summary: The ReStore Cashier supports the mission of Habitat Lenawee by processing financial transactions in the Point of Sale cash register. In addition, the ReStore Cashier maintains a clean cash wrap area, provides assistance to ReStore customers, and assists in the donation intake area.
Compensation: $15.00-$16.00 Part-time (20 hours/wk), Hourly, Nonexempt
Schedule will typically be four (4) hours per day Tuesday through Saturday.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service and cash handling roles; Prior sales, merchandising, pricing, and inventory experience with knowledge of building materials, home improvement, and construction/deconstruction means methods techniques and materials is preferred.
Other Requirements: Cash handling experience; Effective interpersonal communication skills and demonstrates active listening skills, patience, the ability to interact and collaborate with a diverse group of people with a wide array of personalities, knowledge, and skill levels; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of personality styles; Compassionately and ethically serves a diverse population; Basic computer skills, ability to navigate the internet, utilize software programs, and adaptability to use other technology related applications.
