Job Title: Director of Cell & Gene Therapy Global Business Development

About the Opportunity: The Director of Cell & Gene Therapy Global Business Development will lead strategic growth initiatives for PHC’s Cell & Gene Therapy business, driving market expansion, revenue growth, and long-term strategic development. This role will also partner with PHC Japan and other stakeholders to support business planning and product strategy that enhance PHC’s competitive advantage. As a key global ambassador for PHC, the role will build strategic relationships with pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, solution providers and channel partners to identify growth opportunities and strengthen PHC’s leadership within the Cell & Gene Therapy ecosystem.

Location: While this is a global role, the ideal candidate will be located in Illinois or in the Northeast US locations.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead strategic partnerships and new business development initiatives to drive sustainable growth of PHC's Cell & Gene Therapy business.
  • Drive collaboration with industry partners to expand PHC’s solution portfolio and strengthen its position within the Cell & Gene Therapy ecosystem.
  • Leverage industry relationships to originate and secure new business opportunities that contribute meaningful revenue growth.
  • Identify, establish, and cultivate strategic partnerships with multinational pharmaceutical companies, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders.
  • Develop commercial and technical partnerships for PHC's Cell & Gene Therapy products by identifying suitable partners and building collaborative relationships.
  • Implement best practices for channel management and conflict resolution across markets.
  • Monitor global market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
  • Drive initiatives for new product launches and portfolio expansion globally.
  • Partner with global R&D, marketing, and operations teams to influence go-to-market strategies.
  • Represent the Cell & Gene Therapy business in global leadership forums and contribute to corporate strategic planning.
  • Serve as a global spokesperson for PHC’s Cell & Gene Therapy business at industry conferences, trade shows, and scientific forums.
  • Promote PHC’s brand as a trusted leader in advanced therapies across international markets.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams while fostering a high-performance culture.

What you need for success:

  • BA or BS degree is required. MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years’ senior level sales management experience and/or progressive leadership experience in life sciences.
  • Knowledge and understanding of complexity of various sales channels.
  • Proven track record in strategic business development within Cell & Gene Therapy or related fields.
  • Deep understanding of global market dynamics, regulatory environments, and complex distribution channels.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience in leading strategic alliances and business collaborations, with the ability to negotiate effectively with C-level and senior executives of partner organizations.

The hiring range for this position is: $150,000 - $180,000 USD, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
