This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.

What you'll do:

  • Serve as a senior technical advisor for cybersecurity architecture across Local Risk Environments, partnering closely with engineers and application owners to assess, prioritize, and remediate application vulnerabilities and strengthen the overall security posture.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve an application vulnerability-management program.
  • Establish vulnerability-management processes, standards, workflows, and operating procedures.
  • Develop governance mechanisms that create accountability and consistency for vulnerability remediation.
  • Partner with IT and CDRM to identify opportunities to automate vulnerability discovery, prioritization, notification, remediation tracking, and validation.
  • Provide technical risk assessments to engineering and cybersecurity leadership.
  • Define meaningful vulnerability-management metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Develop reporting that demonstrates actual risk reduction rather than simply reporting vulnerability counts.
  • Present vulnerability posture and trends to technical and senior leadership.

Solves complex and ambiguous technical challenges while reducing unnecessary complexity through standardized, scalable, and repeatable architectures.

Leads through technical expertise, mentors engineers and architects, and elevates the organization's technical maturity and capabilities.

Communicates complex architecture and cybersecurity concepts clearly to diverse audiences and takes ownership of outcomes and commitments.

Education & Qualifications required:

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting complex enterprise, data center or lab environments.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs and/or projects across organizations and technologies.
  • Strong experience with risk-based architecture and security-by-design principles.
  • Proven ability to influence senior technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, TOGAF, GIAC, or comparable professional certification.
  • Advanced cloud architecture or security certification.
  • Experience designing environments with elevated security or operational risk.
  • Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards and governance.
