We are currently seeking a Logistician to support operations in Charleston, SC. This is a full-time CONUS position requiring an active DoD Secret clearance

What You’ll Do

As a Logistician, you will play a critical role in supporting the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Enterprise Systems and Services (E2S2) Division. NIWC Atlantic provides design, acquisition, and sustainment services for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) Information Technology (IT) systems, that serve U.S. government missions. This role falls under Logistician within our compensation framework.   This position reports to Steve DellingerYou will:
  • Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
  • Testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
  • Interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
  • Computer aided drafting (CAD), ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction, and be familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
  • Material management (shipping, receiving, movement between locations, etc.)
  • Inventory control (counts, issuing, maintaining stock)
  • Review and analyze records in inventory management systems (GCSS-MC, CMPro, etc.)
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite (especially Excel)
  • This role requires exceptional communication and active listening skills, with an emphasis on clarity, consistency, and collaborative dialogue. The successful candidate will maintain ongoing, proactive communication with leadership to ensure alignment, support informed decision‑making, and foster a strong, transparent working relationship.
  • Assesses and facilitates the company's logistical functions.
  • Inspect logistical areas for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Ascertains supply requirements from authorization documents.
  • Arranges the flow of goods in the company.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications:
Must be proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools and systems pertinent to the position.
  • Education & Experience:
    • High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate.
    • 5 years professional experience solving technical problems.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
    • Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
  • Clearance:
    • Must have a current and active DoD Secret security clearance.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Periods of prolonged sitting and/or standing, including desk-based computer work.
  • Travel between work locations, including company offices, customer sites, and government installations.
  • Transport and use of work equipment, such as laptops and job-related tools, during site visits.
  • Work is performed in a secure facility where personal electronic devices (including Bluetooth- or Wi-Fi-enabled devices) may be restricted.
  • Work may be performed in industrial or potentially hazardous environments, including around heavy machinery and moving equipment.
  • Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and varying weather.
  • Physical activities may include bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials, consistent with established one-person lift guidelines.
  • Use of tools, equipment, and machinery as required for the role.
  • Work at elevated heights using ladders, scaffolding, boom lifts, or scissor lifts.
  • Communication with team members, customers, and stakeholders through verbal and written methods.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work under deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Interaction with others in dynamic environments, including situations requiring problem-solving and conflict resolution.
