Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Manager to join the Food Safety and Quality team to ensure the business can effectively meet evolving customer, regulatory and food safety expectations while protecting commercial opportunities and maintaining brand reputation.
Responsibilities
The Role
Key responsibilities and business-critical activities include:
- Managing customer-specific compliance requirements across key retail accounts, ensuring Dungannon Retail consistently meets retailer standards, audit expectations and contractual obligations.
- Ownership of Supplier Food Safety Risk Assessments, including the evaluation of high-risk ingredients, allergen controls, supplier cleaning validations and the completion of mandatory six-monthly and annual reviews. Robust supplier oversight is essential to safeguarding product integrity and reducing food safety risks.
- Leading allergen management and ingredient risk assessments, including the review and analysis of supplier information within Point 74 to ensure accurate risk evaluations and compliance with food safety legislation and retailer requirements.
- Maintaining and controlling compliance documentation, ensuring allergen schedules, product listings, ingredient assessments and associated records are promptly updated, validated and communicated following any supplier, product or process changes.
- Managing and updating TACCP and product risk assessments to reflect ingredient changes, new product launches, product delists and emerging risks, ensuring the site maintains a proactive and effective risk management framework.
- Oversight of compliance testing and data management, including the accurate recording and monitoring of testing information through the FIIN data portal, providing transparency, traceability and evidence of compliance.
Qualifications
The Person
- A Food Safety and Quality related degree is desirable, equivalent experience will be considered
- Be able to illustrate a proven track record in a similar role, ideally from within a food manufacturing environment.
- Have a clear understanding of food hygiene, food safety, HACCP, TACCP/VACCP, risk assessments, health and safety and quality systems.
- Be results driven and able to improve performance within the department.
- Possess excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
- Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- English is essential in this role as is the ability to operate computers and computer software.
- Be able to develop effective working relationships with all departments
