Estrella at Seminary Apartments is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders.
Responsibilities:
- Completepreventive-maintenance tasks and assigned work orders
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs
- Inspect units, buildings, grounds, and common areas
- Prepare vacant units for new residents
- Maintain tools, equipment, supply inventories, and maintenance records
- Assist with emergency repairs and promptly report major hazards
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and vendors
- Provide courteous service while respecting residents’ privacy
- Follow building codes, company policies, fair-housing practices, and workplace-safety requirements
Requirements
- HVAC (EPA) certification preferred
- Pool certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing
- Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems
