Description
We are seeking dynamic, motivated, and driven individual to support the critical work within our Reconciliations team.
As an APAC Reconciliations Analyst, your primary responsibility is to ensure that clients’ investment positions recorded on FNZ platforms accurately match the external positions held with providers across the Asia-Pacific region. This includes cash positions held with banking providers, as well as stock and investment holdings maintained by registries, term deposit issuers, and sub-custodians.
A key part of the role involves investigating and resolving reconciliation exceptions. You will review reconciliation reports, identify discrepancies, accurately classify exceptions, and take ownership of issues through to resolution. This requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to ensure exceptions are resolved in a timely and controlled manner.
Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you will play an important role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of client records, helping to safeguard the quality of service delivered to our clients and stakeholders across the region.
In addition to investigating and resolving exceptions, you will work closely with internal teams and external providers across the APAC region to identify root causes, ensure accurate record keeping, and maintain the integrity of client investment and cash positions. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving will be key to your success in this role.
What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate?
Tertiary qualification with experience in financial operations preferred.
Proficient in MSSQL, Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to learn and apply new technologies.
Ability to work effectively across multiple jurisdictions, including New Zealand, Australia, and Asia, while navigating varying regulatory and operational requirements.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and capability to resolve financial market and IT system issues.
Comfortable leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support problem-solving.
Highly developed written and oral communication skills; confident in engaging with internal and external stakeholders; effective team player.
Proven ability to deliver projects, adapt to shifting priorities, and conduct research into project-related issues.
Proactive, enthusiastic, and autonomous with a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and contributing to team success.
Why should you join us?
