Solutions Architect - Business Application Integration

We are seeking an experienced technical Solutions Architect for a 3-6 month + contract role in Hamilton to design, develop, enterprise integration solutions that connect business applications, platforms, and data across the organization. This role is responsible for creating scalable, secure, and reliable integration architectures that enable seamless information flow between ERP, CRM, cloud services, third-party applications, and internal systems.

The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, solution delivery teams, application owners, and technical specialists to define integration strategies, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, and deliver solutions that support business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design end-to-end integration solutions that connect enterprise applications, platforms, and business processes.
• Develop architecture blueprints, integration patterns, and technical standards for application interoperability.
• Define solution architectures leveraging APIs, middleware, messaging platforms, event-driven architectures, and cloud integration services.
• Ensure integration solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with organizational architecture principles.

Business Engagement

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, and strategic objectives.
• Translate business requirements into technical architecture and integration designs.
• Provide technical leadership during project planning, solution evaluation, and implementation phases.
• Facilitate workshops and architecture reviews with business and technical teams.

Technical Leadership

• Provide guidance to development teams on implementation approaches and integration patterns.
• Review technical designs, code, and deployment strategies to ensure adherence to architecture standards.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex integration issues.
• Mentor developers, engineers, and technical analysts on integration technologies and architectural principles.

Cloud & Enterprise Applications

• Design integrations across enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, HR, finance, customer service, and supply chain applications.
• Develop integration solutions utilizing cloud platforms and SaaS applications.
• Support hybrid integration scenarios involving on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Ensure effective data exchange, synchronization, and process automation across application ecosystems.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, or Integration Architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise application integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of API design, RESTful services, web services, and integration patterns.
• Experience with middleware, integration platforms, and API management solutions.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and integration services across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments.
• Experience with system architecture documentation and architecture governance practices.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
