As a Maintenance Technician at JLL, you'll be at the heart of keeping our clients' facilities running smoothly and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and respond to service requests across building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. You'll work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to ensure optimal building performance and occupant comfort. What your day-to-day will look like:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and building equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Respond promptly to work orders and service requests, diagnosing issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment, identifying potential problems before they escalate
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and parts inventory using computerized maintenance management systems
Collaborate with vendors and contractors on specialized repairs, equipment installations, and compliance-related work
Support energy management initiatives by monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and client standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Participate in on-call rotation to provide emergency maintenance coverage outside regular business hours
Required qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in commercial or industrial facilities
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and equipment schematics
Strong troubleshooting skills with the capacity to diagnose and resolve equipment failures efficiently
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and accessing confined spaces as needed
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work occasional weekends when necessary based on project requirements
Preferred qualifications:
EPA Universal Certification or other relevant trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, HVAC)
Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and energy management platforms
OSHA safety certifications or completion of relevant safety training programs
Associate degree or technical school training in facilities maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related field
Experience working in commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, or industrial properties
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as Corrigo or similar platforms
Dock door and dock leveler PM experience
Compensation:
Starting pay range: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend work based on project needs
