About This Job
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and execution of automated testing solutions that ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise banking and financial applications.This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, performance testing, and quality engineering. The Senior QA Automation Engineer will play a key role in establishing testing best practices, improving automation coverage, mentoring team members, and partnering with Product, Development, and Production Support teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Test Automation Leadership
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and robust automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Lead automation efforts across Web, API, Database, and Mobile application testing.
- Evaluate and recommend automation tools, frameworks, and testing strategies to improve quality and efficiency.
- Ensure automated tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
Functional & API Testing
- Review business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify test scenarios and quality risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Perform advanced API testing using Postman and other API testing tools.
- Validate RESTful services, integrations, and backend processes.
Performance & Load Testing
- Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing activities.
- Utilize BlazeMeter and JMeter to identify bottlenecks, performance issues, and system constraints.
- Analyze performance results and provide recommendations to improve application stability and scalability.
Database & Backend Validation
- Validate data integrity across SQL databases and backend systems.
- Execute complex database queries to support test validation and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with developers and database teams to resolve data-related defects and performance issues.
Quality Assurance & Governance
- Interpret and apply business rules, workflows, and complex system logic to ensure software quality and consistency.
- Lead defect triage sessions and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
- Establish quality metrics, reporting standards, and testing best practices.
- Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, methodologies, and automation coverage.
Collaboration & Mentorship
- Partner closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and Production Support teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers on automation best practices, testing methodologies, and quality standards.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for testing strategies and automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Proven experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
- Strong experience testing enterprise applications across Web, API, Database, and Mobile platforms.
- Experience leading QA initiatives within Agile development environments.
Technical Skills
- Strong automation testing experience using modern automation frameworks and tools.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Postman
- TestIM
- BlazeMeter
- JMeter
- Extensive experience with REST API testing and integration validation.
- Strong SQL skills and database testing experience.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience using defect and test management tools.

- Experience testing cloud-based applications and distributed systems.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability platforms.
- Experience with Tridium is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with security, performance, and accessibility testing practices.
