Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Equipment Handling in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and financial institution personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, business areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or facility concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and help maintain an orderly environment.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
