JB107 - Newborn Care Specialist - Tamarac, FL

Overview

A private family is seeking an experienced, certified newborn care specialist to care for their 2-month-old son. This is a part-time, temporary position of 6 months, with the possibility of a long term arrangement. 

 

The schedule is 20 to 30 hours per week: Sunday nights and all day Monday, off Tuesday, then Wednesday nights and all day Thursday, with the rest of the week free. Exact shift times will be confirmed with the family. The family is looking for an ASAP start.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for a 2-month-old, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and bathing
• Support healthy sleep habits and establish gentle, consistent routines
• Keep the baby's feeding, sleep, and diaper logs and share daily updates with the parent
• Keep the nursery and the baby's items clean and organized
• Communicate openly with the parent about the baby's needs, routines, and milestones

Qualifications

• Newborn Care Specialist certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in newborn and infant care
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• A calm, reassuring presence with excellent judgment
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, discreet approach

Requirements

• Ability to commit to the Sunday through Thursday schedule above, including night shifts
• Previous experience as an NCS or newborn nanny
• Available to start as soon as possible
