Your Role: Meet the Challenge

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to meet both market competitiveness and the expected margin level for the Company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility. You will also showcase your skills by formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with the most suitable product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations, ensuring timely, detailed proposals that include full and accurate costs.

This role is contributing to the Automation Energy industries division in Mexico.

 

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Calculating a budget value for the sales team or customer to evaluate customer willingness to invest using appropriate level of details.
• Managing the preparation of all technical and commercial documentation (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type, financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis), indicating prices and trading conditions.
• Collaborates with sales teams and engages with customers when required.
• Ensuring that, in accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, inputs for editing activities are provided on time and follow established quality procedures.

Qualifications for the role

• At least two years of experience in a similar role.
• Microsoft Office package advanced leveling (e.g. being able in Excel to create pivot tables or manage advanced formulas)
• Knowledge and experience in proposal development and customer specification interpretation (commercial knowledge required for proposal preparation).
• Basic knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Intermediate English communication skills (oral and written)
• Bachelor’s degree
