Description
Job Description & Summary
Do you have a background in finance, accounting, economics or a similar field, and do you want to start your career building AI solutions that clients actually use? Are you excited to combine this knowledge with technology and learn how to build with GenAI?
As AI reshapes finance, audit and reporting, organizations increasingly need professionals who combine business knowledge with the ability to build AI solutions. In our Digital Transformation team, we help organizations transform their processes with AI, by integrating GenAI automations and software into complex client projects. As a consultant, you join a growing team where you learn from experienced colleagues on real client projects. Our dedicated AI curriculum teaches you how to build the solutions.
This is what you'll do
You will be part of an inclusive, multidisciplinary team that works alongside finance leaders, accounting specialists, risk and audit professionals and technology teams.
As a Consultant AI & Automation, you bring your understanding of finance, audit and reporting processes and work side by side with experienced colleagues, engineers, clients and project teams to translate real business problems into working AI solutions. You build up your technical skills on the job and through our AI curriculum. Think of agents that support technical accounting questions (such as converting financial statements from one reporting framework to another), identify gaps in internal controls, draft annual reports or analyze large sets of contracts and due diligence files. Your responsibilities may include:
- Learning how to build AI solutions, by completing the technical track of our AI curriculum and picking up the technical concepts relevant to each project;
- Supporting the design and building of AI solutions and agents for internal and client-facing engagements;
- Translating finance, audit and reporting requirements into AI solutions, together with engineers and project teams;
- Supporting the deployment of AI software with our internal teams, applying agile methodologies and tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira;
- Identifying and helping build AI automations to optimize client offerings and internal processes.
This role sits deliberately at the intersection of technology and business, and we do not expect you to arrive with both fully developed. Our AI curriculum includes a technical track that gets you up to speed quickly on GenAI concepts, prototyping and the tooling we use day to day. Genuine curiosity about technology is essential, because the AI solutions you help build are grounded in real financial, audit and transaction processes, and the best results come from combining an understanding of the problem with the skills to engineer the solution.
You recognize yourself in this
You are curious about technology and driven by solving complex business problems with AI. You are eager to learn, pay attention to detail and enjoy working with others to make an impact for our clients.
- A completed or nearly completed Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Management or a related field;
- Knowledge of finance, reporting, audit, controls or process improvement, for example through your studies, an internship or first work experience;
- A strong interest in technology and automation, and the motivation to learn how to build AI solutions, including using AI tools like a coding assistant in your day-to-day work. No prior programming experience is required, but experience with programming (such as Python), data or automation tools, or building your own AI prototypes is a strong advantage;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and good communication skills;
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
