ROLE SUMMARY
Qnity is seeking a Regional Contract Manufacturing Excellence Lead to set and sustain the standards that govern how the company works with its global network of contract manufacturing partners. The CoE is a small expert team that owns contract manufacturing standards, templates, training and governance, while business-aligned teams manage partners day to day. The role owns an assigned set of standards across the full lifecycle, from make-vs-buy and partner selection through qualification, performance, change management, compliance and exit, and assures they are applied consistently. It also leads enterprise-level make-vs-buy analysis, maintains the program's KPI framework, builds capability across the contract manufacturing community, and serves as the CoE's primary expert for its region.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own, develop and maintain an assigned set of standards within the Contract Manufacturing Standard Process Guide, including forms, templates, checklists and evidence requirements, and refine them toward best in class.
· Hold expertise across the eight domains of the contract manufacturing lifecycle: strategy and selection, qualification and startup, relationship management, performance and supply reliability, change management, compliance assurance, commercial and information stewardship, and exit and transition.
· Maintain the methodology for partner risk and equipment assessments, including human rights, confidential information, supply, cybersecurity and financial health.
· Partner with Legal, Corporate EHS and Procurement so agreement templates, EHS standards and contract practices stay aligned with contract manufacturing standards.
· Version, communicate and train on every revision so that changes to a standard reach the teams who apply it.
· Run due-date and evidence auditing to confirm assessments, audits, confidentiality agreements and contract obligations are current, and escalate gaps to the responsible business owner.
· Periodically audit contract manufacturing work processes across businesses, report systemic gaps, and serve as the CoE interface to Quality, EHS, Regulatory, ESG and IT on compliance topics.
· Own the make-vs-buy process and tools, coach business teams in applying them, and lead documented analysis for enterprise-level decisions, such as those affecting more than one business or moving volume from a Qnity plant to an external manufacturer.
· Maintain the partner capability database and surface concentration, redundancy and supplier-tail risks to inform network strategy.
· Maintain the KPI framework, metric definitions, dashboards and data integrity, and report program-level KPIs such as standards adherence, evidence currency, training completion and cycle times.
· Build and deliver training, onboarding and certification pathways for each assigned standard, and capture lessons learned from startups, incidents and exits.
· Serve as the CoE's first point of contact in the region, advising on complex situations such as new partner setup, technology transfer, major management of change and exit.
· Facilitate readiness gates for new suppliers and new activities, confirming standards are met before startup.
· Support the CoE Leader on escalation, major partner incidents and competing priorities across businesses, and contribute to CoE governance and decision-rights thresholds.
· Co-host a regular community of practice for contract manufacturing managers, and represent the CoE with partners where a standard or enterprise decision requires it.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
· Reports to the CM Center of Excellence Leader.
· Works through influence with contract manufacturing managers and operations leaders across Qnity's businesses.
· Partners with Procurement, Legal, Corporate EHS, Quality, Supply Chain, Continuous Improvement and HR.
· Works as a peer with the Regional Contract Manufacturing Excellence Lead in the other region, sharing standards ownership and backup coverage.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or business, or equivalent experience.
· Eight or more years in manufacturing, supply chain, contract manufacturing or supplier quality, including at least three years working directly with contract manufacturers.
· Demonstrated experience writing or owning standards, procedures or management-system documents.
· Three or more years of project or program management experience; two or more years of EHS or supplier quality auditing preferred.
· Experience with semiconductor or comparable change-control protocols, management of change, technology transfer and new product introduction preferred.
· Strong data skills; experience with Power BI and SAP
· Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; Quality or EHS auditor training or ISO 9001 auditor certification preferred.
· CPIM or other ASCM certification preferred.
· Fluency in English required; a regional language is an advantage.
COMPETENCIES AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
· Leads through influence across businesses and functions without direct authority.
· Turns complex practice into clear, usable standards, templates and training.
· Holds a standard with neutrality across businesses.
· Applies sound analytical judgment and root-cause problem solving.
· Coaches and facilitates effectively with peers and leaders.
· Works independently in an international, culturally diverse environment and across time zones.
· Manages multiple priorities and adapts as the operating model matures.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
· One position based in the Asia Pacific region and one in the Americas.
· Travel of approximately 20-30%, including visits to partner sites and Qnity locations, with flexibility for meetings across time zones.
