THE ROLE

Reporting to the LTP Project Manager, the LTP Construction and Commissioning Site Lead is responsible for the safely and efficiently delivering the LTP construction, commissioning and completions scope at SVT. This includes achieving full and efficient handover to operations and completion of all required documentation to achieve project close-out. This is a senior position for an individual who has extensive experience in project execution and operations in an onshore environment.

The role will work with the wider LTP project team both in EnQuest and the nominated Construction & Commissioning (C&C) Contractor.  The role will be the nominated point of contact for the C&C contractor at SVT.

The LTP Construction and Commissioning Site Lead will ensure that the construction, commissioning and completions activities and budgets are delivered in line with agreed metrics, and in accordance with effective project management practices. Internal and external relationship management, resource identification and effective project team leadership are significant components of the position.

The LTP Construction and Commissioning Site Lead is accountable for ensuring all activities are carried out in compliance with company, industry and regulatory requirements and in line with EnQuest values

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

This role has the following specific responsibilities:

• Focal point for delivery of the construction, commissioning and completions aspects for the LTP project in compliance with HSE, ethics, budget, schedule and quality.  Expected to provide challenge to schedule & scope in order to find efficiencies with a view to delivering key project objectives as early as safely possible.
• Key role in onboarding of the C&C contractor in Q4 2026, setting them up for successful delivery at SVT.
• Deliver the performance contract for LTP in relation to construction, commissioning and completions activities.
• Ensure all corporate policies are embedded and complied with during the execution of all projects.
• Work effectively with the wider LTP team to deliver the construction, commissioning and completions elements of the LTP project scope and support Operations and Maintenance with efficient handover as required.
• Manage all competent resources required to provide successful delivery of construction, commissioning and completions aspects of LTP.
• Participate and organise Peer Reviews, audits, leadership and JV site visits as required.
• Develop and maintain an effective key Industry network, including managing third party suppliers.
• Ensure Process Safety and Major Accident Hazards issues are addressed during construction and commissioning.
• Implementing value assurance throughout the construction, commissioning and completions project phases.
• Ensure project specific planning/kick off meetings are held as required.
• Liaise with the Asset Planner over manning and schedule requirements, ensuring any change to planned work is recorded and managed, within the 6-week window, performing the role of the project functional 6-week and 2-week gate keeper.
• Engage with Engineering through design life cycle ensuring constructability is “built in”; responsible for completing work pack and plan constructability reviews.
• Ensure required surveys and construction activities are delivered and completed in line with the construction plan.
• Ensure all completions paperwork and certification is maintained through execution and is complete at handover for commission.
• Ensure all Cat 1 drawings are maintained and updated to ‘As Built’ status at handover to commissioning & operations.
• Manage site construction supervision in delivery of actual % completion of work for planning and reporting purposes.
• Verification and approval of actual labour hours for cost management and reporting purposes.
• Ensure that site completed competence assessments for construction, commissioning and completions personnel are kept up to date
• Confirm any post-construction action required for handover to operations liaising with site Commissioning team/ Operations.

EXPERIENCE

• Extensive oil and gas projects and construction experience (minimum of 10 years relevant experience) ideally gained in an operating environment.

• A demonstrable track record managing the construction, commissioning and completions aspects of projects.

• Detailed knowledge of project development processes including assurance and governance of stage gate processes.

• Proven management and leadership skills. An ability to communicate at all levels.

• Proven business and commercial acumen.

• Proven ability to makes decisions critical to organisational success.

• In depth knowledge of risk and assurance management principles, including decision & risk analysis principles.

• Utilisation of completions systems (e.g. GoC/ITRs).

• Excellent appreciation of project controls and safety systems.

• Experience in preparing and delivery of plans produced from Primavera or similar.

• Experience in reporting systems for daily plan attainment, ensuring issues and growth are captured.
