🩺 Medical Assistant - Urgent Care Shoal Creek

Join Our Team as a Medical Assistant at Saint Luke's Urgent Care Shoal Creek!

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our Urgent Care team at our Shoal Creek location. This role is essential in supporting providers and nursing staff while delivering exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent customer service, and the flexibility to work in an urgent care setting.

📅 The Shift

The Urgent Care clinic is open:

• Monday through Friday: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Saturday and Sunday: 7:45 AM - 5:15 PM

This is a full-time position with a schedule based on clinic operating hours.

🩺 Responsibilities Include:

✅ Assist providers and nursing staff in the delivery of professional medical care

✅ Perform pre-visit planning and prepare patients for examinations

✅ Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document information in the EMR

✅ Perform phlebotomy and assist with procedures as needed

✅ Scan and upload patient documentation into electronic medical records

✅ Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times

✅ Support front desk operations and patient registration when needed

✅ Assist with clinic workflow and other duties based on operational needs

✅ Travel to and support other Urgent Care locations throughout the Kansas City Metro as needed

👩‍⚕️ What We're Looking For:

✔ Experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinic, urgent care, or healthcare setting preferred

✔ Strong customer service and communication skills

✔ Phlebotomy experience preferred

✔ Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

✔ Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer systems

✔ Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing excellent patient care
