The role requires a leader who can originate opportunities, shape solutions, build trusted executive relationships, oversee complex engagements, and develop high-performing consulting teams.

The ideal candidate is a proven consulting leader who can connect business strategy with technology, helping organizations make critical technology investment decisions, modernize their enterprise environments, and successfully execute large-scale transformation initiatives. This individual will also help shape the continued evolution of the Technology Performance practice by developing talent, strengthening capabilities, and bringing differentiated solutions to market.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of technology consulting and transformation opportunities.
  • Develop trusted relationships with senior executives, including CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, COOs, and other business and technology leaders.
  • Lead strategic pursuits from opportunity identification and solution development through proposal creation, executive presentations, and contract award.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships by connecting business priorities with RSM’s broader technology and consulting capabilities.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies around key Technology Performance offerings and emerging client needs.
  • Contribute to the practice’s market presence through thought leadership, industry events, executive presentations, and development of differentiated offerings.

Client & Engagement Leadership

  • Serve as a senior trusted advisor to executives navigating complex technology strategies, investments, and transformation programs.
  • Lead engagements spanning Technology Strategy, ERP Strategy and Selection, IT Architecture, enterprise application modernization, digital transformation, and technology operating model design.
  • Advise clients on aligning technology investments and roadmaps with business strategy, growth objectives, operational needs, and financial priorities.
  • Lead and oversee complex, multi-workstream transformation programs involving business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and third-party partners.
  • Lead executive workshops, technology assessments, and strategy sessions and translate findings into actionable transformation roadmaps.
  • Provide executive oversight across engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong client relationships, financial performance, appropriate risk management, and successful business outcomes.
  • Support clients through significant business and technology events, including enterprise modernization, organizational growth, transactions, integrations, carve-outs, and large-scale transformation initiatives.

Technology Transformation Leadership

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in technology strategy and transformation, bringing a strong point of view on how organizations can use technology to enable business growth and improve performance.
  • Lead technology strategy and roadmap development, including assessment of current-state capabilities, identification of gaps, investment prioritization, and future-state planning.
  • Advise clients on ERP strategy, modernization, selection, implementation planning, and optimization, including the broader business and operating model implications of ERP transformation.
  • Assess existing IT and enterprise architecture and develop future-state architectures that support scalability, integration, modernization, and business objectives.
  • Provide leadership across complex technology environments involving ERP, cloud, data and analytics, AI, automation, enterprise applications, infrastructure, and integration architecture.
  • Bring structure, governance, and executive leadership to large and complex transformation programs, including program strategy, executive governance, vendor coordination, risk management, dependency management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Evaluate technology environments and recommend practical, business-focused solutions that balance modernization goals, investment requirements, organizational readiness, and risk.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies, market trends, ERP platforms, AI capabilities, and evolving technology operating models and translate those developments into practical client solutions and new market opportunities.

People & Practice Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop consulting professionals across multiple levels, creating a culture of high performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Build scalable consulting capabilities by developing talent, methodologies, intellectual capital, and repeatable solutions.
  • Coach and develop team members while identifying and preparing future leaders within the practice.
  • Collaborate with practice leadership on recruiting, workforce planning, capability development, and strategic investments needed to support continued growth.
  • Foster collaboration across RSM service lines and capabilities to deliver integrated solutions and create broader client relationships.
  • Help establish and maintain standards for engagement quality, client service, delivery excellence, and team performance.
