Part-Time Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer

Description

Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes is seeking a qualified, compassionate professional to join our organization as a Part-Time Funeral Director and/or Embalmer. Our ideal candidate possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience and is dedicated to meeting and surpassing the needs of the families we serve in the Upstate. 

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange, coordinate, and direct funerals and memorial ceremonies. 
• Perform embalming of deceased individuals to the highest standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, maintain active community involvement and build effective relationships. 

Requirements

•  Licensure: South Carolina Funeral Director License (required) and/or South Carolina Embalmer License. 
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
• Skills: Self-motivated, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) and strong organizational abilities. 
• Physical & Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift and carry over 100 lbs., push/pull up to 300 lbs., and utilize transfer equipment (with or without reasonable accommodation).
