At Ideagen, we're building the shared platforms that power a global portfolio of products. 

We're looking for a Platform Engineer L2 to join our EHS Platform team. You'll help build, automate, and maintain the cloud infrastructure that powers our products, working with modern technologies including AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Python, and AI-enabled engineering tools.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure or DevOps engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving platform reliability, and contributing to scalable cloud solutions while continuing to grow their technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for our EHS product portfolio.
• Deliver platform engineering initiatives with increasing ownership and autonomy.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate operational activities through scripting and tooling.
• Troubleshoot platform, infrastructure, and production issues.
• Participate in incident response and on-call support activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable solutions.
• Review code, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to technical design discussions.
• Leverage AI-powered engineering tools responsibly to improve productivity while validating outputs for quality, security, and accuracy.

Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

• Experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Infrastructure Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as:
  • VPC
  • IAM
  • ECS
  • RDS
  • S3
  • Load Balancers
  • CloudWatch
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
• Knowledge of container technologies and containerized workloads
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, TLS, routing, and security groups
• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
• Understanding of cloud security best practices and vulnerability management

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Kubernetes
• Experience with Azure cloud technologies
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and DevSecOps practices
