• Review supplier designs and technical documentation against project requirements and Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) criteria.

• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and product requirements.

• Coordinate engineering changes and technical solutions across relevant engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and project functions.

Continuous Improvement & Technical Development

• Identify and implement engineering opportunities for cost reduction, parts utilization, standardization, and simplification.

• Capture and share engineering knowledge, lessons learned, and reusable technical solutions, including identification of potential intellectual-property opportunities where applicable.

• Coach, mentor, and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and standard work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline.

• Significant relevant engineering experience demonstrating increasing technical responsibility in areas such as project engineering, product design, manufacturing engineering, configuration management, or Bill of Material (BOM) development.

• Proven experience with power generation, rotating equipment, packaged equipment, or comparable complex industrial systems.

• Demonstrated experience in customer-facing engineering, including technical clarification, project execution, and coordination across multiple engineering and business functions.

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage technical activities, make sound engineering decisions, and resolve complex technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics effectively with customers, suppliers, manufacturing teams, and engineering stakeholders.

Desired Characteristics

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• Technical expertise in one or more of the following areas: gas turbine or rotating equipment packages, power augmentation, installation and foundations, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, lubrication systems, auxiliary systems, mechanical systems, or Balance of Plant equipment.

• Good knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, regulatory requirements, and product compliance processes.

• Experience supporting complex power generation or industrial equipment through engineering, manufacturing, packaging, installation, commissioning, or project execution.

• Demonstrated Lean mindset and experience applying continuous-improvement principles to simplify processes, improve quality, or reduce cost.

• Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills, including the ability to assess technical risks and develop practical solutions.

• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, project management, suppliers, and customers.
