We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team! What You'll Do:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures.
- Assisting with a wide variety of procedures, including:
- Fillings.
- Crowns.
- Root canals.
- Extractions.
- Wisdom teeth.
- Implant placement.
- Invisalign.
- Sealants.
- Pulpotomies.
- Fabricating temporary crowns or willingness to learn.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.
- Take digital dental X-rays and intraoral photographs.
- Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for throughout their visit.
- Review and update patient health histories as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, sterilization, OSHA, and HIPAA protocols.
- Taking high-quality orthodontic photos using a professional camera.
- Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, and front office team members.
- Help maintain an organized, efficient, and positive clinical environment.
- Educate patients using clear, friendly, and easy to understand language.
Responsibilities also include:
- Maintaining sterilization and laboratory areas.
- Keeping operatories clean and organized throughout the day.
- Completing assigned cleaning checklists.
- Autoclave maintenance/cleaning.
- Ultrasonic maintenance.
- Treatment room maintenance.
- Break room maintenance.
- Floors and common areas maintenance.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
- Dental X-ray certification and CPR certification.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Dependability, accountability, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine desire to help patients and provide an excellent experience.
