Job Description

As a Security Officer Credential Management in Bloomfield, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a financial institution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and support a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly, professional environment at a financial services location while communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
