Description
Assists organization in planning for, selecting / developing, installing, and maintaining clinical information systems. Utilizes the knowledge and skills of clinical practice to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer applications to ensure they are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice. Works collaboratively with all users of clinical information systems. Acts as a liaison between the clinical and technical staff. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.
Shift: M-F with call rotation
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in NC. BSN preferred.
- At least two years clinical practice required. Four years preferred.
- Experience with clinical information systems desired.
- Formal training or direct experience with personal computer e-mail, spreadsheets, word processors, Internet, etc., required.
- Accurate eyesight and hearing required.
- Requires extensive use of personal computers.
- May be required to work off-shifts and weekends for implementations.
- Will require on call support after hours.
- Must be able to perform the essential job specific functions either unaided or with reasonable accommodation to be determined by the organization on a case-by-case basis.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
