Job Summary
Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish while delivering excellent service to internal and external customers.
General Accountabilities
- Communicate with customers regarding parts status
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Read and understand parts catalogs to accurately look up parts
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information
- Review body shop estimates to ensure correct parts and pricing
- Provide high-level service to both internal and external customers
- Pull and fill orders from stock
- Perform weekly bin checks to ensure inventory accuracy
- Notify Parts Manager of out-of-stock parts or materials needing immediate attention
- Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders when needed
- Ensure all internal parts requests are billed on service repair orders
- Receive payments from retail customers or obtain credit authorization
- Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup
Qualifications
- No experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and other basic math functions
