Description
Electrical Power Support Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various UPS systems on location and remotely by telephone.
- Record client-related activities and obtain customer sign-off that work is performed in a satisfactory manner.
- Resolve complex UPS systems and related electrical problems.
- Participate in an on-call rotation.
- Service UPS systems in varied environments and working conditions
- Deliver bills, invoices, delivery slips, and collect cheques.
- Deliver and uncrate UPS systems, batteries, and other parts to customer sites.
- Source electrical parts and part numbers for UPS systems.
- Program SNMP card and probes.
- Conduct site visits and determine UPS systems requirements based on the customer’s needs, load, and electrical wiring.
- Liaise with internal and external electricians to assist with UPS systems installation and electrical wiring requirements.
- Liaise with customers and sales staff to ensure appropriate solutions and address any questions or concerns related to UPS systems. - Modify UPS systems and electrical wiring.
- Install batteries for UPS systems.
Experience and Skills Needed:
- 2 years’ experience in the field backed by a sound understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of these areas.
- OEM trained with experience. (Huge Bonus)
- Strong communication skills
-Strong problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of PCs and mobile devices.
Special Requirements:
- Diploma and/or NCTVET in Electronics &/or Electrical Installation Level 2 and above (Must).
- 2 years work experience in a related field.
- Valid General Drivers license with at least three years’ experience (Must).
