Description
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor work activities to ensure timeliness and accuracy of the fund’s activities in a department.
- Serve as the Senior Checker for complex tasks
- Serve as backup to the team coordinator or manager Receive, perform good order review of documents and process transactions, including subscriptions, contributions, distributions, redemptions, and transfers, for Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Fund offerings.
- Ensure transactions processed are accurately reflected on reporting systems and statements.
- Work closely with Internal and external administrators to gather required data and ensure transactions are executed on time and accurately.
- Work closely with Banking and Product teams, Investment Counselors, Portfolio Managers, Client Reporting, Performance and Finance to facilitate investments, resolve issues and address inquiries.
- Participate in implementing new processes to support Product and Business Line requirements.
- Work on ad-hoc assignments benefiting departmental initiatives. Monitor and resolve various reconciliation breaks
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience
- Project Management certification preferred
- Experience in accounting, finance, or business-related area
- Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management
- Knowledge of financial operations / alternative investments trade cycle
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
