Pay: $12.00 per hour + service charges
Job Type: Seasonal, Part-Time
Mira Vista Country Club is seeking dependable, energetic, and service-oriented individuals to join our Events and Banquets team for the busy fall and holiday season. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-focused environment and creating memorable experiences for members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional service during weddings, holiday parties, golf tournaments, member events, and private functions
- Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffets, and beverage stations
- Serve food and beverages during plated, buffet, and reception-style events
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked event spaces
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests
- Assist Porters with minor furniture moving for event set-ups and breakdowns
- Assist with clearing tables, breakdown, and post-event cleanup
- Follow all food-safety, alcohol-service, uniform, and club-service standards
- Work cooperatively with banquet captains, managers, culinary staff, and fellow team members

Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, banquet, catering, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- Professional appearance and commitment to excellent service
- Ability to remain organized and attentive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry event supplies
- TABC and Food Handler certifications are preferred or must be obtained upon hire
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance are required
Availability Requirements
Candidates must have flexible availability during the seasonal period. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. Event schedules and weekly hours may vary based on business needs.
