Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Engineer (Civil) – Theme Park and Entertainment to join our team in Qatar!

In this role, you will be part of the Project Management Consultant (PMC) team and support the delivery of a landmark luxury hospitality and entertainment development featuring immersive entertainment experiences, world-class hospitality, premium retail, and diverse leisure attractions.

You will provide technical oversight and multidisciplinary engineering coordination for civil, structural, infrastructure, and external works throughout design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, and handover. You will support the integration of roads, utilities, drainage, grading, underground infrastructure, public realm, and site development works with architectural, MEP, landscape, utility, and themed entertainment systems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide technical engineering support for the delivery of the Project Management Consultancy services throughout all project phases.
  • Review and coordinate civil, structural, infrastructure, and external works deliverables to ensure technical consistency, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Support the coordination and integration of roads, utilities, grading, drainage, underground infrastructure, external works, public realm, and site development works.
  • Coordinate civil engineering interfaces between the Lead Design Consultant, Architect of Record, Design & Build Contractor, Supervision Consultant, specialist designers, attraction vendors, operators, and utility providers.
  • Review engineering reports, design submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical queries related to civil and infrastructure works.
  • Support constructability reviews and technical evaluations to identify engineering risks, interface conflicts, and opportunities for design optimization and value engineering.
  • Monitor engineering progress and support the timely resolution of technical issues that may affect project cost, schedule, quality, procurement, or construction activities.
  • Coordinate civil engineering support during procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, and handover to facilitate the successful delivery of infrastructure and external works.
  • Support multidisciplinary coordination for utility corridors, road networks, site grading, stormwater drainage, external utilities, retaining structures, and public realm infrastructure.
  • Provide technical oversight for civil infrastructure supporting themed attractions, entertainment facilities, ride foundations, feature structures, water attractions, and associated external works.
  • Assist in reviewing engineering-related RFIs, design clarifications, variations, and technical change requests, including their potential impacts on the Project.
  • Coordinate with the BIM team to support multidisciplinary model coordination, clash detection, and engineering integration.
  • Support the review of as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, infrastructure records, and engineering handover documentation.
  • Maintain engineering coordination registers, technical review records, action trackers, and related documentation within the Electronic Document Management System.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent professional registration is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering design, technical coordination, or Project Management Consultancy for major hospitality, entertainment, mixed-use, or destination developments.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating large-scale civil infrastructure and site development works on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proven experience supporting themed entertainment developments, integrated resorts, luxury hospitality developments, or complex mixed-use destinations is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience with roads, utilities, drainage, grading, underground infrastructure, external works, and public realm development.
  • Experience working on Design & Build projects through design, construction, testing and commissioning, and handover.
  • Strong understanding of applicable international engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • GCC experience is highly desirable.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering, infrastructure delivery, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination for major hospitality, entertainment, and mixed-use developments.
  • Strong understanding of roads, utilities, grading, drainage, underground infrastructure, external works, public realm, and site development engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of civil engineering coordination, constructability reviews, engineering interface management, value engineering, and technical design reviews.
  • Strong understanding of civil infrastructure supporting themed attractions, ride foundations, feature structures, water attractions, utility networks, and large-scale public spaces.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering stakeholders, including Lead Design Consultants, Architects of Record, Supervision Consultants, contractors, specialist vendors, operators, utility providers, and statutory authorities.
  • Ability to review and interpret engineering reports, technical specifications, construction drawings, shop drawings, and infrastructure design documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to identify engineering risks, interface conflicts, and practical technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, presentation, and stakeholder-engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering coordination tools, BIM workflows, and Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • Ability to function effectively within large multidisciplinary programme environments while maintaining focus on engineering quality, technical integration, operational performance, and successful project delivery.
