Reporting to the Supervisor – Mobile Maintenance, the Mobile Maintenance Service Crew is responsible for ensuring the mobile maintenance department is clean, organized and safe and performs a wide range of tasks to support Mobile Maintenance Operations.
Location: Blackwater Mine site
Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On – Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation

Responsibilities
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized maintenance yard and shop by disposing of debris, cleaning equipment, organizing tooling and equipment to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Operate various site services equipment, skid steers, telehandlers, and forklifts.
- Pickup, loading and unloading parts.
- Sorting and organizing small parts and supplies.
- Assist technicians with necessary repair, lube and preventive maintenance work.
- Maintain a safe working environment and observe all safety procedures, laws, policies and rules.
- Ability and desire to learn additional skill in maintenance operations.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in various tasks and adapting to changing project requirements.
- May be required to maintain a clean-shaven appearance (i.e. no facial hair) to ensure the safe and effective use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with assigned duties.
Qualifications
- Valid drivers license required.
- Minimum 2 year experience in maintenance shop environment (such as automative dealership, heavy equipment shops).
- Experience operating a telehandler, skid steer or forklift.
- Experience in a mining would be considered an asset.
- Completion of a mechanical pre-apprenticeship program would be considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills and understanding an asset.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation.
- Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team.
- Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to work night shift.
