Full-Time | Exempt Leadership Position

What You'll Do:
Leadership & Team Development
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountability-driven culture
- Mentor Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Client Service Representatives, and hospital leaders
- Recruit, interview, onboard, coach, and retain exceptional talent
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development
- Lead conflict resolution with empathy and professionalism
- Promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives
- Build future leaders through coaching and mentorship
Hospital Operations & Workflow
- Oversee hospital workflow and staffing
- Optimize scheduling and resource utilization
- Improve operational efficiencies and client flow
- Support inventory management and operational compliance
- Partner with the Medical Director on hospital initiatives
- Maintain exceptional standards of patient care and client service
- Ensure a safe, organized, and highly functioning workplace
Financial Leadership & Business Acumen
- Partner with Regional Leadership during annual budget planning
- Maintain ownership of hospital P&L performance
- Monitor labor, revenue, inventory, and operating expenses
- Utilize KPIs and hospital analytics to identify opportunities
- Support sustainable business growth while maintaining a people-first culture
- Drive operational improvements through data-informed decision making
Client Experience & Community Leadership
You'll help ensure that reputation continues by:
- Championing an exceptional client experience
- Supporting client communication and service recovery
- Building long-term relationships within the local community
- Partnering with local organizations and referral partners when appropriate
- Representing the hospital with professionalism and integrity
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of veterinary leadership or hospital management experience as a Veterinary Practice Manager, Hospital Administrator, or Hospital Manager
- Experience leading Veterinary Technicians, Assistants, and Client Service teams
- Strong operational leadership and workflow management experience
- Demonstrated success coaching, mentoring, and developing employees
- Excellent emotional intelligence and communication skills
- Experience with staffing, scheduling, recruiting, and employee engagement
- Working knowledge of veterinary practice management software
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to confidently lead through change while maintaining team morale
- CVPM certification (or interest in pursuing certification)
- Budgeting and financial management experience
- P&L ownership and KPI reporting experience
- Experience supporting hospital growth initiatives
- Fear Free and/or AAHA experience is a plus
