Position Overview |
The Associate Security Specialist supports the execution of day-to-day security operations to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment across assigned facilities. Acting as a frontline team lead, the role provides operational guidance to security personnel, supports access control and site security activities, responds to security incidents, and ensures adherence to established security procedures and protocols. The position contributes to the effective delivery of security services through proactive monitoring, coordination, reporting, and escalation of security-related matters. |

Key Responsibilities
|
· Support the Supervisor in managing assigned posts, team members, and daily security activities. · Act as the first point of coordination for guards or post personnel during the shift and ensure duties are carried out according to post orders. · Monitor access control points, visitor or contractor entry, badge verification, vehicle movement, material gate pass activity, or reception security tasks when assigned. · Conduct routine checks, patrol verification, post inspections, and immediate follow-up on minor operational issues. · Report suspicious activity, access violations, safety concerns, policy breaches, or operational gaps immediately to the Supervisor. · Prepare shift updates, handover notes, checklist records, incident notifications, and other required documentation accurately and on time. · Assist with incident response by securing the area, preserving information, collecting initial details, and supporting escalation procedures. · Guide the team on proper communication, professional behavior, customer service, and compliance with security instructions. · Alarm response, access system checks, and coordination with security control room when assigned. · Assist with training, coaching, and orientation of new security personnel at the post level. · Maintain confidentiality and ensure all security information, access records, and incident details are handled professionally. · Perform any job-related activities as requested or assigned by the immediate supervisor. |

Skills |
· Good Security leadership and ability to guide security personnel during the shift. · Good knowledge of security post duties, access control, visitor management, patrolling, and incident escalation. · Ability to follow SOPs, post orders, checklists, escalation matrix, and management instructions accurately. · Strong observation skills and ability to identify risks, suspicious behavior, and non-compliance. · Clear communication skills with employees, visitors, contractors, security team members, and supervisors. · Professional behavior, discipline, emotional control, and ability to remain calm during incidents. · Ability to complete reports, logs, checklists, and handover notes clearly and accurately. · Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and security reporting tools when required. · Customer service mindset with ability to enforce rules respectfully and firmly. |

Minimum Qualifications
|
· Associates or bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations within an industrial, manufacturing, corporate, or large-scale facility environment · Experience as a team leader, senior guard, post in-charge, security receptionist, or similar role is preferred. · Knowledge of access control, visitor management, incident reporting, and emergency response procedures is preferred. · Security license, first aid, fire warden, safety awareness, or emergency response training is preferred where applicable. · Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and support urgent operational requirements as needed. · Background in corporate security, industrial security, military, or law enforcement is an advantage. |
