About the role
Team Global Express is seeking a Linehaul Driver to commence immediately in Mt Isa.
This is a Permanent Full Time position working Monday to Friday.
The successful applicant will primarily complete scheduled linehaul runs to our key customer, with two return trips completed each week.
The usual start time for these runs is 2:00am, with accommodation provided before returning to Mt Isa the following day.
This role is paid on a kilometre rate whilst undertaking linehaul runs.
On non-driving days, typically one day per week, the successful applicant will be rostered in the yard from 6:00am to 2:00pm, paid at an hourly rate.
Employees receive one Rostered Day Off (RDO) per month.
Optional Saturday work may also be available, involving either yard duties or local delivery work.
Complete linehaul deliveries safely and efficiently in accordance with scheduled timeframes.
Operate heavy vehicles in a safe and professional manner across long-distance and regional routes.
Ensure all freight is loaded, secured, and transported in accordance with company and customer requirements.
Follow and comply with company procedures, including hazard, near miss and incident reporting processes.
Restraining loads safely as well as the correct use of straps, chains and load restraint equipment where required.
Monitor vehicle performance and promptly report any maintenance or mechanical concerns.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and complete all required paperwork correctly.
Keeping trucks in a clean and maintainable condition, whilst also keeping the yard and your personal work area tidy.
Must be able to complete your own vehicle pre-start checks and daily vehicle inspections.

What you'll bring
You will hold a Current and Valid MC Licence.
Previous linehaul or long-distance heavy vehicle driving experience will be highly regarded.
You will be comfortable working early morning starts and overnight trips as part of a regular roster.
A strong understanding of fatigue management requirements and safe driving practices.
Experience completing vehicle inspections, defect reporting, and load restraint activities.
You will be able to follow instructions and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
You must have excellent punctuality and the ability to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements.
You must have Full Rights to Work in Australia.
You must have a high attention to safety and a commitment to safe work practices at all times.
