The role

You will be responsible for supporting the Ice Cream Malaysia and Singapore business through data management, reporting, analytics, and process improvement.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Develop a practical understanding of Ice Cream Malaysia and Singapore business processes, data sources, customer and product hierarchies and approved performance measures
  • Prepare, clean and transform raw data from approved sources into structured, reliable and reusable datasets for reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain repeatable data-transformation workflows using Power Query/M, SQL, Python or other approved tools, while consistently applying documented business rules and calculation logic.
  • Build data quality, validation and reconciliation checks to identify missing records, duplicates, mapping errors, unusual movements and source-to-output differences, working with the Reporting Executive to resolve source-data issues.
  • Support the development and enhancement of data models, dashboards, reports and analytical tools based on clearly defined business requirements and approved solution designs.
  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis to identify performance trends, gaps, drivers, risks and opportunities and translate findings into clear visualizations and decision-support outputs.
  • Develop low-to-medium-complexity automation and process improvements that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy and shorten reporting or analysis turnaround time.
  • Conduct unit testing, support UAT, resolve identified defects, maintain technical documentation and present completed datasets, analysis and proposed improvements for review before deployment or stakeholder communication.

We're looking for someone who

Rather than an exhaustive check list, focus on what really matters.

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems or another related quantitative field.
  • Has at least one year of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data preparation, or dashboard development and can operate confidently in a
  • Brings strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Query, including data cleaning, transformation, consolidation, formulas, PivotTables and structured dataset preparation
  • Is knowledgeable in SQL or Python for data extraction, transformation and analysis; exposure to Power Automate or similar automation tools is an added advantage
  • Understands data-quality principles, including validation, reconciliation, duplicate handling, mapping controls and maintaining consistent business rules.
  • Brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns, investigate data issues and present findings clearly
  • Thinks end-to-end and takes ownerships for results
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation
  • Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
