2026-09-11JOB PURPOSE:
Ensure safety of works of art in the Hoffman Gallery and provide customer service to gallery visitors.
PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Opening and closing of the gallery.
Assist with exhibit installation and deinstallation.
Working with the exhibiting artists as needed.
Security of the artwork and gallery space during open hours.
Providing information to visitors about the exhibition.
Preparing flyers and other paperwork.
Cleaning and general maintenance of the gallery.
Contribute postings to exhibit social media.
Gallery Attendant are NOT permitted to:
Leave the gallery unattended.
Play music in the gallery.
Talk on a cellphone while visitors are in the gallery.
*Working on a laptop during shifts is permitted.
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:
Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.
SCHEDULE:
Employees will have a consistent scheduled shift from 11am-4pm at least one day a week during the Senior Exhibition that runs from April 2nd through May 9th. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday.
RATE OF PAY:
$17.00 /hr
