Description
The HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources functions throughout the employee lifecycle. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers, helping ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently, effectively, and in compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information. They should be able to manage multiple priorities while providing responsive support to employees, managers, and the broader HR team.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, workplace concerns, and general HR questions.
- Assist managers with employee relations matters, performance concerns, attendance issues, and policy interpretation.
- Help investigate employee concerns and workplace issues while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Support the recruitment process, including posting job openings, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with background checks and pre-employment requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers to facilitate a smooth and consistent hiring process.
- Coordinate new-hire onboarding activities and ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Conduct or assist with new employee orientation.
- Support offboarding and exit processes, including exit interviews and required documentation.
HR Administration
- Maintain employee information in HRIS and other HR systems.
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, documentation, and employee communications.
- Assist with tracking employee status changes, promotions, transfers, leave, and other personnel actions.
- Ensure employee files and HR records are accurate, organized, and compliant with company requirements.
