Job Description:
Provides on-going religious and spiritual assessment, interventions and evaluation as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Conducts individual, group and family pastoral care and counseling.
Provides and documents consultation to treatment teams on issues of religious concern and spiritual care for patients.
Provides pastoral care for employees as requested.
Plans and conducts hospital worship, holiday, special occasion, funeral and memorial services and liturgies.
Provides consultation on ethics and patient rights to patients, treatment teams and hospital management.
Liaison with community religious groups, agencies and institutions to coordinate religious care of patients, religious volunteer services , and special programming or service needs for patients.
REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited theological or divinity school with a master's or doctorate degree in divinity, theology or related field.
Ordination and/or denominational or ecclesiastical endorsement.
At least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, one of which is accomplished in a psychiatric setting.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
