• UFT (Unified Functional Testing) hands-on experience automating functional and regression tests for Windows desktop applications.
• SilkTest demonstrated experience authoring and maintaining automated functional/regression scripts.
• Silk Central practical experience using Silk Central for test management, execution, scheduling, and results reporting.
• UI Automation / accessibility frameworks working knowledge of UIA and MSAA, and the fragility of COM / UI automation in legacy desktop apps.
• Test design and defect lifecycle ability to design test cases with measurable, quantified acceptance criteria (e.g., launch time, CPU/memory ceilings, recognition accuracy baselines) rather than subjective pass/fail, and to drive defects from triage to closure.
• Comfort working in a large, legacy enterprise Windows codebase with established patterns and constraints.
Nice To Have Skills
• Background in speech, audio, NLP, or accessibility products (a plus, not required if Windows desktop automation depth is strong).
• Experience automating across Office integration surfaces (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and WebView2-based surfaces relevant to New Outlook (Monarch) and Copilot.
• Familiarity with installer-driven release risk, smoke-test gating, and regression exit criteria as delivery signals.
• Exposure to performance, stability, and long-session validation for desktop applications.
• Scripting beyond C# (e.g., PowerShell/Python) for test data, environment setup, and CI integration.
