Position Summary
We’re looking for an Admissions & Operations Supervisor to lead the front door of our Driver Training Center (DTC). Interest in our CDL programs—Class A, Class B, Hot Shot, and permit prep—is growing fast, and you’ll own the admissions and operations engine that turns that interest into enrolled, well-scheduled students. This is a working supervisor role: you’ll manage and develop our Admissions & Operations Coordinator while staying hands-on with calls, the CRM, vehicle scheduling, events, and QuickBooks bookkeeping. You’ll also sit at the table with DTC leadership, bringing feedback from the front lines and a point of view on where the center should go next. This is an in-office role—our students, instructors, and trucks are here, and leadership happens in person.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Admissions & Operations Coordinator—set clear expectations, give regular feedback, and support their growth
- Own the daily admissions and operations workflow: assign priorities, cover gaps, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Model the CNS values and set the tone for warm, steady, people-first service
Vision & Growth
- Partner with DTC leadership on enrollment goals, sales strategy, and program growth; bring front-line insight and recommendations to the table
- Turn feedback from students, instructors, employers, and partners into concrete ideas that keep the DTC growing and improving
- Track enrollment, conversion, and revenue trends and report regularly to DTC leadership
Admissions & Customer Service
- Ensure all incoming Driver Training Center calls are answered with warmth and confidence—and answer them yourself as needed
- Stay knowledgeable about DTC programs and the full CNS service menu; refer callers to other CNS departments when appropriate
- Deliver a positive experience to every prospective student, current student, employer, and partner
Sales & CRM
- Oversee daily CRM work—lead follow-up, record accuracy, and lead-to-enrollment conversion
Scheduling & Operations
- Oversee scheduling of students into the appropriate vehicles and time blocks
- Communicate clearly with instructors and leadership about needed vehicle maintenance so training never stalls
- Coordinate the administrative side of DTC events and programs (career fairs, classes, partner events, etc.)
Bookkeeping
- Own DTC bookkeeping in QuickBooks—recording transactions, tracking student payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Support the payment of bills and reconciliation of DTC credit cards.
- Keep financial records accurate and current so leadership has a clear picture of center performance
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary link between DTC leadership and the larger CNS organization
- Jump in where needed—no task is too big or too small; other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required:
- Comfort talking on the phone—confident asking questions to learn what people need, using your actual voice (vs. texting and email)
- Comfort with tech tools—MS Teams/Slack, email, a CRM, and shared documents (Google Docs and/or MS Cloud)
- Comfort with numbers and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, or mentor others—formally or informally
- Post-secondary training and/or experience that demonstrates your ability to work in teams, accomplish goals, and reach challenging targets
- Ability to work fully in our office five days a week
Preferred (not required):
- Prior supervisory or team-lead experience
- QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience
- CRM experience
- Trucking, CDL, or transportation industry background
Note: No trucking background? No problem. We’re far more interested in people who are eager to serve others and willing to learn. Experience is a plus, not a gate.
What We’re Looking For
- Humble — checks ego at the door, open to feedback, willing to learn from others
- Hungry — self-motivated, proactive, always looking for the next opportunity to improve
- Emotionally intelligent — reads people and situations well, communicates clearly, builds trust easily with callers, students, and teammates
- Curious — genuinely enjoys solving problems and isn’t afraid to learn through failure
- Warm and positive — the kind of person people are glad they called
- Steady — doesn’t get flustered or frustrated easily, even when three things happen at once
- A servant leader — leads by doing, develops the people around them, and takes ownership of the team’s results
What Success Looks Like
- The Admissions & Operations Coordinator is clear on expectations, growing in the role, and getting regular feedback
- Every DTC call is answered promptly and callers leave feeling heard and helped
- Leads are followed up consistently and CRM records are accurate; lead-to-enrollment conversion improves
- Students, vehicles, and instructors are scheduled without gaps or conflicts
- DTC books in QuickBooks are current and reconciled each month
- DTC leadership has clear, timely communication and receives regular, actionable input on growth
Compensation & Benefits
- $50,000 - $52,000 annual salary depending on experience
- Monthly bonus for meeting DTC sales targets—historically $200 – $1,000+ depending on the target and its importance
- 401(k) with a generous company match
- Health, Dental, Vision insurance available the first day of the next month after employment
- PTO available for use after 90 days of employment
- Paid volunteer time available after 90 days of employment, to give back to the Lancaster Community
- Gym Membership provided to the employee at no cost
